Hello, Welcome to my world!
My name is Ayla Joy Love, but everyone calls me Joy. Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, I'm a lifelong creative, adventurer, and curious explorer with a passion for making things and finding magic in the everyday.
For over 15 years, I've turned ideas into reality through sewing, designing, and building custom creations for boats and beyond. My business, ElevenNW, grew from a love of craftsmanship into a home for my many creative pursuits, from photography and videography to graphic design, clothing, and art.
But creativity doesn't stop at the sewing machine. I love running, sailing, hiking, hula hooping, exploring, writing, and making music. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, published children's book author, and a longtime supporter of my local running community. I'm happiest when I'm creating something, learning something new, or heading off on an adventure.
Why Eleven?
The name ElevenNW is a nod to my life path number in numerology: 11, often associated with intuition, inspiration, and awakening. The 11:11 logo represents my own fascination with patterns, possibility, and the interconnectedness of everything.
In 2016, I chose the name Ayla Joy Love. Ayla (pronounced eye-lah) which in Turkish Ayla is associated with a halo of light around the moon. It felt like the perfect reminder of how I want to move through the world: spreading a little more joy, love, and light wherever I go.
I'm endlessly grateful to call the Pacific Northwest home, where forests, mountains, and saltwater provide an ever-changing playground for adventure and inspiration.
I believe in human kindness, the power of creativity, the magic of possibility, and our ability to shape the world through the choices we make.
